Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder - Winona Lauro Horowitz - was born in Winona Minnesota. The parents of her daughter named her after her hometown. Michel Horowitz' father was an author and editor and editor, as was Cynthia Palmer and her mother. Ryder, who considers herself Jewish has a connection to Ryder's Jewish father. Ryder is the youngest sister of Uria as well as half-siblings Jubal and Sunyata. Ryder along with her whole family relocated to Mendocino, California in the year 2000, when Ryder was only seven years old. There were no electric lights. Ryder would read extensively due to the absence of television. Ryder started taking classes in acting at the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983 aged twelve years old. She landed her debut role on the big screen in 1986 when she was 15 years young. Ryder faced bullying in high school. Her thought was that by becoming an actor, her behavior was going to be corrected. However, it didn't come to pass. Still she continued pursuing her dreams. In 1988, in the year Tim Burton released Beetlejuice that gave her her first big break. Ryder was later cast in successful roles. There were two Academy Awards were nominated, one of which was for The Age of Innocence (1996).
